This roundtable focuses on the national data exchange layer (palveluväylä) as an enabler for real-time data exchange in government services. The session will outline the current state of the data exchange layer and discuss the future steps in reference to the financial data flows such as financial statements, tax statements, and statistics statements.

Electronic identification is a critical part of real-time economy. This session will discuss the current landscape of electronic identification mechanisms and will outline the future development of E-ID in Finland.
Income Register – Chair: Arto Leinonen, Finnish Tax Office; Co-Chair: Mirjami Laitinen, Sitra
The objective of the income register is to ease the administrative burden on companies payroll reporting by simplifying the process. Companies will be offered the “one stop shop”-option of reporting payroll information to a centralised common register from where the authorities can get this information. This session will present the current status of the project and discuss the benefits of the register to all parties involved.
